Card Class Students Get a Surprise at Every Class!
Are you on the lookout for a unique party favor? Today I bring you a fun idea that is easy to make multiples quantities of. Recently I hosted several card classes in my home using the Bee Mine Collection, and these Bee Mine Square Pillow Treat Boxes were the favor that I set at each person’s place.
I love giving a little thank you gift to those who come to class. There were butterscotch hard candies inside for them to enjoy.

The Square Pillow Boxes are part of the Bee Mine Suite in the Jan.-April 2024 Mini Catalog. (Visit the Mini Catalog link in the sidebar, on pages 8-10.) They are easy to assemble and come with strong adhesive already attached. So after you have the box assembled, fill it with your candy of choice. I chose the butterscotch candies because they reminded me of “bee colors”. Add a “belly band” with some fun touches and you’ve got and nice gift to give away.
Treat Box Project Details:
Start with a 1 1/8″ x 11″ strip of the Bee Mine Designer Series Paper in the Petal Pink honeycomb design. Use a small amount of Stampin’ Seal to adhere it to the box front to hold it in place and level. Affix the two ends on the back of the box with more Stampin’ Seal. I made sure I left the finger box opening at the top so the belly band wouldn’t be destroyed when the hard candies were removed.
The flower was created from the “wings” stamp in the Bee My Valentine Stamp Set. (I was inspired by Heidi Collins flower example I saw online.) Start with Basic White cardstock and stamp 4 sets of wings stamp in a circle in Sweet Sorbet ink. Think North, South, East, and West like a compass. (You may need to practice a couple times to get the flower circular in shape.) Then stamp the fill in of the wings with Petal Pink ink. Fussy cut out the flower with your paper snips. With a 3/4″ circle punch, punch out the center in Crushed Curry cardstock. Add the flower center to the flower with one Dimensional. The sequins will be added in the final steps.
Cut a 3/4″ x 4″ strip of the red and white daisy pattern from the Bee Mine Designer Series Paper. Cut a banner end with scissors on one end. Next cut 1/2″ x 4″ strip of Basic White cardstock and stamp the “bee mine” greeting in Sweet Sorbet ink. Also cut a banner end on this piece too. I started with the two strips intentionally long, so I could trim as needed so they would hang over the box a little bit, be overlapped at an angle, and the other ends hide under the back of the flower. Use Stampin’ Seal to make all the pieces into one unit. Apply the Stampin’ Seal to the back of the flower and apply it to the belly band.
If you have some sequins, you can replicate the same flower center shown here using 7 sequins. I used Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins in Petal Pink.
Lastly, the tiny little bee flying above the banners comes from the Fluffiest Friends stamp set. In that set, there is a trio of little bees. I stamped several sets of bees on scraps of Basic White cardstock in Memento ink and punched them out with a retired 3/8″ circle punch. A glue dot was used to affix the bee to the belly band.
These Bee Mine Pillow Treat Boxes would be an easy Valentine treat to create for your co-workers, your child’s classroom, or to give however you desire. I’m sure your generosity would be received with lots of oohs and ahhs!
