If you’re looking for a Valentine’s Day card that steals the show, this Mediterranean Blooms Curtain Call Fun Fold Valentine’s Card is ready to take center stage! This isn’t your ordinary love note—it’s a stunning, interactive design with a center flap that opens up to reveal your heartfelt message, making it as memorable as the person receiving it.
Just like a grand theater production, this card features multiple panels that act as curtains, drawing back to unveil the beauty inside. The vibrant Daffodil Delight and Night of Navy color combo brings a bold and sophisticated touch, while the playful lemons from the designer paper add a unique, fresh twist to traditional Valentine’s cards. Whether you’re sending this to a romantic partner, a dear friend, or someone who just makes life sweeter, this card is guaranteed to be a knock-out!
This card design was inspired by Susan Campfield, another amazing Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, however I only had an image to go from so I figured out the math on my own for this card. Keep reading to see how this fun fold comes together and get inspired to create your own show-stopping Valentine!
Mediterranean Blooms Curtain Call Fun Fold Valentine’s Card – below shows the major products used that helped create this gorgeous card.
Hearts of Elegance Bundle (Stamp Set & Dies) – The Stamp set provided the sentiments. The Dies cut the largest heart and provided the heart backing by tracing around the outer edge of the die frame. The sentiments below allow for a clearer view of them.
Mediterranean Blooms Designer Series Paper from the 24-25 Annual Catalog is what I used for the pizzazz of the card design.
Here’s a slightly different angled view so the center card section is shown.
Measurements and Directions (the list is in order of assembly):
- 1 – 8 1/2″ x 11″ sheet of Daffodil Delight Cardstock for card base – cut 5 1/2″ x 11″ which leaves 3″ x 11″ remaining for the center section.
- Score the 5 1/2″ x 11″ piece on the long side at 3/4″, 2″, 3 3/8″, 7 5/8″, 9″, and 10 1/4″, burnish folds well with bone folder

- Night of Navy cardstock for large heart layer – cut 4″ square
- Basic White cardstock for stamped heart – cut 4″ square
- With the Mediterranean Bloom Designer Series Paper – your choice – locate 3 large lemon blossoms that you can fussy cut out with paper snips. But first with a Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Marker outline the blossoms so you can see the edge better for fussy cutting
- With the Mediterranean Bloom Designer Series Paper – smallest blue tile design – cut an envelope flap 2 1/4″ x 6″
Assembly Steps:
- Be aware to allow for 1/8″ margins around all pieces of DSP when adhering to card base and center section.
- Adhere the four navy pieces of 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ DSP to the inside and outside of the smallest 3/4″ sections of the card base. That way these pieces show when the card is closed and opened.
- Adhere the two small lemon pieces of 1″ x 5 1/4″ DSP to the 2nd section on the inside only.
- Adhere the two small lemon pieces of 1 1/8″ x 5 1/4″ DSP to the 3rd section on the inside only.
- Adhere the two navy pieces of 1″ x 5 1/4″ on each side of the center 4 1/4″ wide section allowing for an 1/8″ margin from each fold line.
- Line up the folded 3″ x 5 1/2″ with the center section allowing for equal margins on each side and matching up level with the top edge and bottom edge of the card base.
- Adhere the large lemon 2 3/4″ x 5 1/4″ DSP piece to the front of the folded center section.
- With Night of Navy ink and the Hearts of Elegance stamp set, stamp “Sending Lots of Love” on the Basic White 2 3/4″ x 5 1/4″ inner layer. Adhere down.
- With the largest Hearts of Elegance Dies – trace the outer edge on the 4″ square Night of Navy piece with a white gel-pen for ease of fussy cutting.
- With the 4″ square of Basic White, Night of Navy ink, and the Hearts of Elegance stamp set, stamp “My Heart belongs to you”, then die cut out with the largest heart die.
- Adhere the two hearts together with even margins. Position on center front flap with a small portion of the heart hanging over each side of the flap. Adhere but be careful not to get adhesive on those overhanging sides.
- Fussy cut out your 3 DSP traced lemon blossoms, then adhere as shown in photos.
- Adhere your DSP envelope flap to a Basic White Medium Envelope and trim off excess with paper snips.
- DONE! I recommend not adding any embellishments to this fun fold as it will make it too thick to mail and you’ll have to pay package rate postage prices.
